Sourcing Philosophy

The FORGED Standard: Ecology, Origin, and Traditional Craft

In the specialty Pu’er market, we operate on a single truth: truly natural tea is not manufactured—it is discovered

01 | Living Ecology: Nature as the Inspector

We reject chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and unnecessary human interference. We only partner with ancient, biodiverse forests where the earth is blanketed in moss and fallen leaves. In these wild ecosystems, tea trees must struggle alongside nature, slowly distilling the 'Mountain Character' and deep minerals into their leaves. To us, the health of the forest is the strictest quality control.

02 | Provenance: Every Leaf has a Latitude

We exclusively source tea with absolute traceability. Every cake in our collection tells the story of a specific mountain, a distinct village, and a hand-selected grove. We personally traverse the Yunnan summits to collaborate with trusted, heritage farmers. Here, there are no vague labels—only honest, transparent provenance from the wild into your cup.

03 | Artisanal Craft: Respecting the Metamorphosis

We insist on traditional processing: sun-drying over mechanical heat, and manual stone-pressing. We refuse artificial 'kiln-fired' aromas that compromise the tea's living energy. By respecting the natural pace of time, we ensure each cake retains its biological potential to age—becoming deeper, smoother, and more resilient with every passing year.

We don’t chase paperwork; we chase the integrity of the land. Every batch is vetted through rigorous tasting—we only buy once the bitterness gives way to a clean sweetness and the leaves reveal their physical strength. This is slow, deliberate tea. It is our promise to you.
